Assistive Technology Workshop — FREE EVENT
Are you a parent, caregiver, tutor, or a person who has dyslexia? This virtual workshop presented by the Michigan Disability Rights Coalition will teach you all about assistive technologies to help you and others who experience dyslexia.
Michigan Disability Rights Coalition (MDRC) is a non-profit organization devoted to justice and equity for individuals with disabilities, promoting collaboration, and dismantling obstacles. MDRC focuses on all disabilities (apparent and non-apparent) but places particular emphasis on valuing and including the desires and voices of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. For almost four decades, MDRC has partnered with individuals, families, and organizations to foster disability pride and eliminate oppression.
Kellie Blackwell MA, CRC is the Michigan Assistive Technology Program Co-Director and will be presenting on assistive technologies.
What is Assistive Technology (AT)? AT is any tool, software, or app that can help people with disabilities, including older adults, do what they want to do.
