SLD Read’s Summer Literacy Program is a great opportunity for Kalamazoo County students to catch up on their reading skills before transitioning into middle school or high school. The program is open to 5th–8th graders who are more than six months behind in reading proficiency and offers intensive support with a certified teacher.

With 4-hour sessions three days a week for six weeks, this structured approach will give students the dedicated time and focus they need to improve their literacy skills.

When:  M, T, W from 10 am – 2 pm at SLD Read (Kalamazoo office, Lover’s Lane)

Weeks of June 16, June 23, July 7, July 14, July 21, July 28

Cost:  $1800, scholarships are available.
